MIDI Options Tab |
MIDI Options page sets MIDI parameters for the newly created or recognized MIDI files.
The parameters only affect MIDI file attributes, all of them except Determine Automatically do not affect recognition process itself. All parameters except MIDI Instrument also do not affect the sounding of MIDI file.
MIDI instrument - all recognized notes are assigned to this instrument. Key - you can assign any music key to the resulting MIDI sequence. Setting the value does not transpose the piece. Determine automatically controls whether tonality detection will be performed. If this check box is set, manual tonality is used only if automated detection has failed. Detected tonality is displayed in Composition Analysis dialog. Meter - you can use this parameter to set the meter (2/4, 3/4, 3/8 and so on) of the MIDI file. Tempo sets the tempo for the MIDI file. If manual bar line arrangement is applied, tempo value changes from one part of piece to another. In this case Tempo value applies only to the parts where manually placed bars do not exist.
Note: tonality detection and the usage of tonality information is described in How WIDI works section. |
