WIDI may download and display news from the Internet. Use "Help->Show news" menu item to invoke News manually.

Internet connection is required to fetch the news. See our Privacy Policy on what WIDI sends when it requests news.

By default, WIDI checks news automatically at startup, and shows the dialog only if any fresh news is downloaded.

This behavior can be changed in the General Options or using the Show news on start-up checkbox.

If invoked manually and Internet connection is unavailable, any previously downloaded news is displayed.
