Able MIDI Editor offers a wide range of capabilities for setting-up its appearance and style of operation. Tools and toolbars can be moved around, which allows you to attach them to the border of any window, leave them floating above the Main Window, and hide them as well. One can change the number of buttons as well as their positioning on the tool panels using the Context Menu.
The user may modify the Editor's color scheme using the Color Settings dialog. The dialog lets you set any colors for the background and note borders in selected and unselected form, muted notes, etc. Color settings can be saved to file or downloaded from a file.
In addition to editing, the Editor lets you change the scale of display independent of time and pitch. The Note Map window enables you to see the entire musical piece as well as that part of it that is displayed at a given moment in the Editing Area, and also adjust the displayed position.
The Able MIDI Editor Options dialog lets you specify the style of operation of the Editor to accommodate a variety of situations. You can set up the Focusing position in the selected area, specify the way the operation history is presented, establish the default settings for the Selection mode, and customize other aspects of operation as well.
