First of all I want to know the difference between the WIDI Recognition System and the WIDI Audio To MIDI software.

And whats the difference between the TrueTone Editor and the Able MIDI Editor? They seem to do the same thing, but I'm not sure. (if they both do the same thing, which one is better? [if there is a difference])

I'm also wondering if WIDI does voice as well as instruments. I think all your samples only include instruments.

How many instruments can WIDI do at a time? If a song has ten instruments, will WIDI be able to pick out those 10 instruments?

Also, how "perfect" does WIDI get. I listened to your samples, and the edited MIDI ones sounded a lot better then the unedited ones, but I also saw someone post that it wasn't very good. Could you provide more samples so I can make sure I'm getting a good deal?

And finally, does your price include tax, or is it tax free?

Thanks in advance for answering these questions.

Dear Joe,

WIDI Recognition System is a stand-alone application, while WIDI Audio to MIDI Plugins are intended for use inside software DAW environments such as Cubase or Logic. Usually WIDI Recognition Systems offers better recognition quality due to the offline nature of the processing.

TrueTone Editor is a built-in feature of WIDI Recogntion System Professional allowing recognition error correction. Able MIDI Editor is a simple standalone application for MIDI creation or editing only - while retaining most of editing features of TrueTone Editor, it cannot display underlying spectrogram as well as playback MIDI and Audio in sync, etc.

Unfortunately, MIDI cannot represent voice, it is a fundamental limitation of MIDI concept, find more at http://www.widisoft.com/english/midi.html

WIDI can handle as much as 9 voices at a time.

Recognition quality of WIDI differs depends greatly on a music genre or a specific recording. We recommend everyone who considers buying WIDI to download and try it first (it is free!).

Our price does not include VAT. The tax value depends on the country and is usually in the range from 0 to 20 %.

Stepan.
